Brother John Henry(Roberts) Robinson (Sep 24, 1920 - Jun 29, 2006)

Brother John Henry(Roberts) Robinson, the son of the late Liza Hayes Roberts and Henry Roberts was born in Allendale County, on September 26, 1920.

John Henry was the grandson of the late Nancy and Richard "Dick" Hayes and the late Barney and Gussie Roberts.

Seeking divine guidance at the early age he joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he served until he became ill.

"Ling" as he was known by his family and many friends will be missed by all lives that he touched.

John was united in holy matrimony to Maggie Allen and to this union six children were born.

John Henry(Roberts) Robinson attended the Allendale Training School and joined the US Military on November 16, 1942 and was honorably discharged on October 29, 1945 receiving the good conduct medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon where he served in World War II.

On June 29, 2006, 2:45pm, God saw it fit to call from labor to reward, our beloved father, Brother John Henry Robinson at the Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Allen Robinson of Allendale, South Carolina, one Aunt, Everlena Gray of Allendale, South Carolina, three daughters, Jonnie Mae(Silas) Stallings, Vermelle Davis and Henri Mae Grant all of Allendale, South Carolina, three sons, Mr. James(Frankie) Robinson of Linden, New Jersey, Mr. Harry Robinson of Edison, New Jersey, Mr. William(Donella) Robinson of Allendale, South Carolina. Two sisters, Henrietta(Conway) Doe of allendale, South Carolina and Lena Mae(RL) Mixson of Rochester, New York, 13 Grandchildren, Diana(William) Holmes, Georgette Laurent, Twilighter Jones, Cheryl(Gerald) Mole, Gail(Michael) Gregory, Devon(Felicia) Robinson, Genea(Donta) Jett, Susan Robinson, Tracy Grant, William Edward Robinson 11, Jennifer Grant, Stanford Robinson and Lisa Davis, 14 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, A son-in-law, Donald Davis, one brother-in-law David Allen of Allendale, South Carolina and a special and devoted first cousin Luke Boynton, of Allendale, South Carolina, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
